Ariane Desrosiers

Co-Founder; Core Team Member

A mixed Asian who grew up in Hong Kong, Ariane has been fighting for sustainable change her whole life. After starting an interscholastic network and leading climate strikes in high school, she experienced the lack of support for Asian environmentalists, and co-founded AEYN with Ha after realizing how much progress was needed. Ariane is passionate about energy policy, climate finance, and carbon pricing. Ariane is doing her masters of public administration (MPA) in environmental science and policy at Columbia University.

Nikhil Kamath

Core Team Member; Design & Communications Task Force Lead

Nikhil is an author and Brand & Content Strategist from New Delhi, India. He teaches topics like Entrepreneurship, Content Writing, and Blogging in various schools. A Climate Reality Leader trained in August 2020, Nikhil is constantly working to engage youth with the Sustainable Development Goals. He believes that youth across the world are well equipped with the resources to drive change for the better and only need to be given the right kind of motivation and direction to bring about a positive change.

Shi Zhou Tan

Core Team Member; Outreach & Opportunities Task Force Lead

hi Zhou is a Singaporean passionate about sustainable technology and development. Having been involved in sustainability projects since 2016, he currently serves in numerous local, regional, and global climate-focused organisations. He is also passionate about research, having done projects on water technology and sustainable energy. In 2023, Shi Zhou graduated from Nanyang Technological University. He aspires to be a research engineer in the future.

Sara Tobias

Core Team Member

Growing up in Hong Kong, Sara spent a lot of time in the subtropical forests often found within minutes of the dense urban landscapes. As a result, she developed a huge love for nature. Our planet is a beautiful home, and because of this, she is always trying learning more about current environmental issues, as well as finding new ways to be involved in eco-activism. She is also passionate about trail running, cooking healthy vegan food, and playing mediocre ukulele songs. She’s extremely excited to be a part of AEYN!

Wynona Curaming

Core Team Member; Program Lead

For most of her life, Wynona has lived near tropical rainforests and oceans. Seeing dead coral reefs and swathes of plastic pollution compelled her to join the sustainability movement. Since mid-2018, she has been volunteering for environmental and youth empowerment initiatives. In 2023, she graduated with a degree in environmental science and public policy at Duke Kunshan University and is currently pursuing her masters in environmental management at Duke University. On the side, she enjoys singing and blogging.

Anais ChenCore Team MemberAnais is a Chinese-Canadian immigrant who focuses her advocacy on the intersection of the climate crisis and Indigenous rights. She is currently studying business, law, and environmental science at Minerva Schools at KGI. She hopes to create large-scale business or policy solutions to these issues. Besides that, she enjoys taking average-looking photos and listening to news podcasts on 1.5x speed.

Anais Chen

Core Team Member; Strategy Lead

Anais is Chinese Canadian and leans into her identities in her advocacy. She focuses on intersectional climate discourse, engaging most deeply with Indigenous sovereignty and (issues of justice within) the fashion supply chain. She studied business, philosophy, and history at Minerva University and graduated in 2023. Her life centres community, care, and empathetic communication, and she plans to foster these values in all of the spaces she works in.

Frencis Mae

Design & Communications Graphic Designer

Designing creative posts while simultaneously learning about environmental issues enthuses Frencis Mae's passion for learning. In 2017, she joined the 'Green Club' in high school where she participated in environmental activities. Since 2018, she has been actively volunteering relating to media. She graduated with a diploma in graphic design technology in 2021 and is now pursuing her bachelor's degree in professional design. Beyond that, she indulges her free time in watching comedy sitcoms, anime and music.

Ha Tran Nguyen Phuong

Co-Founder

Ha first learnt about climate change when she was 8, and she has been finding solutions to this since. She grew up in Vietnam but got a scholarship to study in Singapore, and spent her high school learning more about the formidable challenges and the incredible potential that climate change brings. She is learning voraciously about climate solutions, especially carbon capture, and is excited about the intersection between technology and sustainability.
