Program Support Associate

The Asian Environmental Youth Network (AEYN) is seeking a part-time Program Support Associate to join our dedicated team of volunteers in advancing climate action and sustainability work throughout Asia, while uplifting and collaborating with underserved communities.

About the Role

We are seeking a part-time (10 hours per week) contractor to assist in developing our mentorship program, launching our regional climate initiatives map, drafting social media content, and enhancing member engagement. Key Responsibilities

Help build out our mentorship program:

  • Support outreach:

    • Research university programs and other potential partners, with a focus on South and Southeast Asian countries

    • Draft copy for outreach

    • Collect contact information 

    • Assist in sending out outreach materials as needed

  • Other tasks might include:

    • Creating content and resources for social media, program events, and mentees

    • Research upcoming opportunities for our members (examples include entry-level job positions, research positions, conferences/events, volunteer positions, competitions, etc)

Bring social media content ideas to life (as needed):

  • Research topics as outlined in the provided content schedule

  • Draft social media copy (writing a succinct, easy-to-understand version)

  • Coordinate with a graphic designer to produce visuals for social media (Instagram, LinkedIn)

Assist in the launch of our new regional climate initiatives map (as needed):

  • Support research by identifying relevant climate organizations

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated passion for climate action and capacity building in Asia 

  • Some work experience (part-time or full-time) with other climate/sustainability organizations

  • Some experience in researching and communicating climate content in a low-barrier / easy-to-understand format

  • Experience/proficiency in communications, event planning, web research, and/or outreach 

  • Effective with fully remote work and collaboration spanning multiple time zones

  • Fluency in English
